Question 1

Do I need a prescription to order?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Canadian law requires a valid prescription for prescription lenses. You'll upload your Rx during checkout. We accept prescriptions issued within the last 2 years.

What formats do you accept for prescription uploads?

Accepted Answer

A clear photo, scan, or PDF of your prescription slip from your optometrist. As long as we can read the values clearly, it works. If you're unsure, upload what you have and our optician will let you know if we need anything else.

Question 3

What if my prescription is expired?

Accepted Answer

We can only fill prescriptions issued within the last 2 years. If yours is older, you'll need a new eye exam before ordering. Most optometrists can see you within a week or two.

Question 4

Can I order frames only, without lenses?

Accepted Answer

Not at this time — all orders include prescription lenses. If you'd like frames only for a specific reason, contact us and we'll see what we can do.

Question 5

What is PD and do I need it?

Accepted Answer

PD (pupillary distance) is the measurement between the centres of your pupils. It's required for us to grind your lenses correctly. You can find it on your prescription, ask your optometrist, or measure it using our free PD tool on the Try Them On page.

Question 6

Which lens index should I choose?

Accepted Answer

It depends on your prescription strength. For mild prescriptions (up to ±2.00), standard 1.50 lenses work well. For stronger prescriptions, a higher index (1.61, 1.67, or 1.74) will give you thinner, lighter lenses. See our Lens Guide on the About page for a full breakdown.

Question 7

Is anti-reflective coating worth it?

Accepted Answer

For most people, yes. AR coating reduces glare from screens and headlights, makes your lenses look nearly invisible, and improves visual clarity — especially at night. We recommend it as a baseline for almost every order.

Question 8

Do all lenses include UV protection?

Accepted Answer

Yes. UV400 protection is included on all our lenses at no extra charge. It blocks 100% of UVA and UVB radiation.

Question 9

Can I get progressive (bifocal) lenses?

Progressive lenses are on our roadmap. At the moment we offer single-vision prescription lenses only. Sign up for our newsletter to be notified when progressives become available.

Question 10

How long does delivery take?

Accepted Answer

Approximately 3–4 weeks from the time your prescription is verified. This includes lab processing time (lenses are ground to your exact Rx), quality inspection, and shipping. We'll send you tracking updates at each stage.

Do you ship outside Canada?

Not currently. We ship within Canada only. We're working on expanding — check back soon.

Is shipping free?

Accepted Answer

Free shipping on orders over $99 CAD. A flat shipping fee applies to orders under $99.

Question 13

What is your return policy?

Accepted Answer

If your lenses don't match your prescription or you're unhappy for any reason within 30 days of receiving your order, contact us. We'll remake your lenses or issue a full refund — no questions asked.

Question 14

What if my frames arrive damaged?

Accepted Answer

Contact us within 7 days of delivery with a photo of the damage and we'll send a replacement at no charge.

Question 15

Can I exchange frames for a different style?

Accepted Answer

Yes, within 30 days of delivery, as long as the lenses haven't been fitted. Contact us to arrange an exchange.
